In this workshop you will learn how any child can become a Kids Talk Radio Student Backpack Journalist and create creative enhanced STEM podcasts for Kids Talk Radio Science. All participants will use and take home Journalist-in-a Box Software. We will demonstrate how Kids Talk Radio uses iPads, iPhones, Smart Phones, PC Tablets and Pasco scientific hardware and software to get kids excited about STEM. Participants will learn how to build creative audio and video podcasts. We will demonstrate how your class can participate in our Cabo Verde Tenth Island Project with the USA and 34 countries. Our Kids Talk Radio International Enhanced STEM Programs work with the uninhabited island of Santa Luzia, Cape Verde, Antarctica and the North Polar Regions.

Participants will download and explore a variety of apps to their iPod touch, iPad, or iPhone. They will then work individually, collaboratively in partners, or teams to identify the curricular value. Free apps will be downloaded from the iTunes store to the device, explored, discussed, and probed for appropriate curricular integration.
