
Have you wondered what mobile devices such as iPod Touches can do for a classroom teacher? In this hand-on session, participants will receive an iPod Touch, learn to sync to a computer, download apps for classroom use, and create a simple digital story. NOTE: Equipment subject to change and may not be most current version if updated within 2 months of conference.
Technology integration in grades one through eight can take many forms. Come see a scope and sequence that covers many skills in a scaffolded progression over eight years.

Discover how the iPad can assist inquiry-based learning. We will discuss how to use the iPad to conduct research, communicate understanding, design solutions, and gather data. You will learn how to use collaborative virtual spaces, differentiate learning, evaluate resources, and foster creativity. You will need to download the following free apps on your iPad; MomentDiary, Dropbox, edmodo, Easy Chart, Qwiki, Wikipanion, Google Earth, Evernote, PlainText, AudioNote lite, Doodle Buddy, iBrainstorm, Popplet, and Stickyboard. A limited quantity of iPads will be available. Tickets for this session given 1/2 hour before start time- first come, first serve.
